About Allure
John W. Spurlock, MD, FACOG, is a board-certified OB/GYN who specializes in aesthetics and female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery. As medical director and founder of Allure Medical Spa and Laser Center in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Dr. Spurlock ensures that women and men of all ages and ethnicities receive medically supervised care and beautiful results in a supportive, friendly atmosphere. Dr. Spurlock graduated from Drexel University in Philadelphia with highest honors in 1980. He then earned his medical degree at Jefferson Medical School in Philadelphia, graduating summa cum laude in 1984. His career as an OB/GYN began with a residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, where he served as chief resident. He then completed a fellowship at Emory Medical Center in Atlanta. Returning to his home state of Pennsylvania, Dr. Spurlock founded the Continence Management Institute of the Lehigh Valley in 1995, working at St. Luke's University Hospital, Palmerton. In 2005, he opened a private practice. Dr. Spurlock founded the Allure Medical Spa and Laser Center so that women and men in the Bethlehem area could take advantage of cutting-edge aesthetic, prejuvenation, and rejuvenation procedures, including a wide range of effective and safe laser therapies.
